I had been a complete atheist: very anti-God, very anti-church.
One day, I was driving to work and suddenly I thought: ‘There has to be more than this’.

So I turned the car around and went back home.
I started investigating self-help and religion.
I joined a Christian enquirers’ course and began reading the Bible.
One morning, when I was thinking of giving it up,
I prayed: ‘If you’re real, prove it to me’.
I went to the gym and someone there told me to read Jeremiah 29:11 -
I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
That’s when I realised I’d been wandering in a desert.
And now I had found the right road.
