But the Get A Grip book for £2.00 (£1 from each purchase goes to fund Bible translation in Burkina Faso)
What do we do with contradictions in the Bible?
How do we handle the craziness of the Book of Revelation? Or genocide in the Old Testament?
What encouragement can be gleaned from Ecclesiastes?
The Get A Grip Book contains short essays, on passages which have been personally selected by well-respected Christian writers.
Rob Parsons, Jason Gardner, Jo Saxton, Patrick Regan, Ruth Valerio, Christine Sine, Joel Edwards and Michele Guinness have chosen to write on unconventional passages, which have provided encouragement in their lives.
Andrew Wilson, Roger Forster, Chris Wright, Paula Gooder, Jane Williams, David Wenham, Howard Marshall, Lis Goddard and Krish Kandiah shed light on passages which are violent, troubling, complex or confusing.

Philomene helped the translators as they worked on the Bissa Lebir language. She told us: ‘If you haven’t got a Bible, you don’t know what’s wrong and what’s not. You just live in darkness. Without the Bible, life is dark."
Each Bible passage has a price tag against it, showing how much it would cost to translate that particular passage for the people of Burkina Faso, to give them the same privilege of reading God’s Word in their mother tongue
