The People’s Bible visits the Evangelical Alliance
The People’s Bible visited the Evangelical Alliance today on the last day of its mammoth 5 month tour of the UK. Members of staff were given the opportunity to write out 2 verses of the Bible using electronic pens which automatically uploaded the handwritten verses straight to the People’s Bible website.
The People’s Bible has toured the UK between June and November.
It started its journey at Edinburgh Castle in Scotland on June 19, the anniversary of the birth of King James VI of Scotland at the castle in 1566. It will finish tomorrow at a national service of celebration at Westminster Abbey to be attended by members of the Royal family.
Celebrities, politicians and television presenters have written verses in the Bible from Gyles Brandreth and Timothy West to David Cameron.

We hope that this project will help people, once again, value the Bible. Making a connection with the text helps us both to appreciate its role in our own culture, history and politics, and it can enrich our lives personally.
